Here on Letterboxd we're all very much into international cinema, but for some reason everyone passes over Bollywood. So I made a list containing a bunch of recent Bollywood films that should get you ready to explore Bollywood on your own, depending on which directors, actors, and genres you develop a liking for.
LEVEL 1: Beautiful, universal, critically acclaimed films that will get you warmed up to Bollywood. (1-8)
LEVEL 2: mainstream Bollywood. Several minor flaws. May be plagiarized in parts. Very enjoyable movie experiences. (9 - 18)

Bonus: Luck by Chance, a hilarious satire on Bollywood itself. If you get to this point, you deserve to sit back and watch a film like this one.
