1. Let's start off this month by exploring the roots of horror cinema (and one I did a project for in my history of film class). Watch a German Expression film (or one highly influenced by the movement).
2. Let's thank last month's host! Watch a film that Gene has rated 5 stars.
3. "On October 3rd, he asked me what day it is. It's October 3rd." Watch the third film in a franchise.
4. Every year in October there are a few films I try to watch every year and I imagine everyone has their own Halloween canons. Rewatch a film from your personal Halloween canon.
5. Re-using a prompt from my December Hunt as it seems fitting for the season (and so many great films included in this). Watch a film featured in Cinemassacre's Monster Madness series.

7. We all know about final girls, but let’s hear it for the boy and watch a horror film featuring a Final Boy.
8. There are three Italian Masters of Horror who helped establish many of the modern tropes of the genre. Watch a film directed by either Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci or Mario Bava.
9. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of my all time favorite movies, so lets do a Science Fiction Double Feature: Watch a Sci-Fi Horror film from the 1950s.
10. Science Fiction Double Feature: Watch a Sci-fi Horror film from the 1980s that is either a remake or has a similar theme to your choice for Prompt #9.
11. Shout-Out to my partner who loves the Halloween season and Spooky vibes, but absolutely will not watch horror films. Watch a film with spooky vibes that IS NOT a horror film.
12. Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? If you are a Team Edward watch a vampire film and if you are a Team Jacob watch a werewolf film - or just choose between the two monsters or watch one with both if you can't decide.
13. I really gotta get through some of my watchlist. Watch the most recently added horror film from your Watchlist.
14. My favorite decade for horror is definitely the 1980s. Watch a film from your favorite decade of the genre.
