This is a list of the best movies from every country I have movies logged for here on Letterbox. Some subjective standards have been set here to determine whether or not a film would fit as the representative film, due to the fact that while a film might be financially backed by a production studio from a country and would thus be marked as from that country on Letterbox, and will also be included in the notes for each film, it shouldn't necessarily be considered representative of that country.

To clarify, a good example would be The Dark Knight. Technically, it is an American-British movie, since a British production company helped produce it and much of the filming took place in the UK. But the primary production company was Warner Bros, an American company, most of the cast and crew, including most of the producers, were American, and the primary shooting location was Chicago, an American city. Moreover, the film is an allegory for American politics. So should the Dark Knight really be considered representative of the UK? It may be included on a list of UK films, but I wouldn't consider it a truly British film.
Every film will have the country it represents in the list and a tally of movies from that country I've reviewed on Letterbox. If I've reviewed more than five, it will also have a link to a list ranking them. Otherwise, the names of the movies will be in the notes as well. The films will be ranked by how many films from that country I have seen.
For the record as well, I will be including an American representative, along with the tally but there won't be a list for American movies, since I am American, so it is easier for me to be exposed to American movies. It's not exactly something that warrants notice for myself when I watch an American movie. The point is to try to watch non-American cinema more.
Subjective Cases:
These are a list of films that may be used for a country, but aren't included because it seemed to me personally that they didn't really qualify as being truly from that country, due to more significant involvement from other countries or lack of representation from that country.
