“SHAAARK!!!”

Deep Water stars Aaron Eckhart (Ben) as a plane captain who has a scheduled international flight from Los Angeles to Shanghai but gets his plane crash landed in the middle of the ocean attracting sharks. Now the passengers and crew must work together to survive. I thought this was a really fun shark/survival thriller. There were some intense scenes. The plane crash looked great visually and was shocking. It was one of the best plane crash scenes I’ve ever seen. This film has some surprisingly gory kills especially some mangled bodies from the sharks.

The sharks looked real practically mixed with cgi. They had a lot of cool scenes that impacted the film and made the situation even more scary. I loved how the sharks looked under the planes wreckage. The Mako sharks were very menacing especially at night. These sharks were actually insane and were like on cocaine but I loved how over the top they were. My favorite scene was when one of the sharks jumped out of the water trying to attack Ben (backdrop) and he smacks it with a paddle board. You could hear the shark hissing in that scene it was sick.

Aaron Eckhart is a standout in this. I really enjoyed him here, he was a great lead as the captain. Ben Kingsley was also good as the plane’s pilot. This was made by the director who created Deep Blue Sea. Both are really good shark movies. Overall a very entertaining horror/disaster movie. Sharks are magnificent creatures; my favorite animal next to the Crocodile, the great white to be specific. Sharks are amazing and this was the coolest most unique shark movie I’ve ever experienced.
