“Yes, I think so too.”
🦞Two Yorgos movies in a row. Help. I almost didn’t survive the pacing.
🥸I was really excited about The Lobster mostly because dystopian concepts are always fascinating to me, and from the premise alone I expected to like it.

🌲I’d actually say I liked this one slightly more than Poor Things. It sat with me better, and the pacing, while still slow, felt more fitting to the world. I did lose focus during the second half, but the ending completely pulled me back in. I love how ambiguous it is, leaving us to question which choice should be valued more.
🏨One thing I kept thinking about is the whole idea of The Hotel. I didn’t fully understand why people would willingly submit to it without trying harder to find “true love” on their own. It made some parts feel a bit empty, even though the protagonist genuinely seemed to try hard. Applause for him!👏🏻
👫Some scenes were genuinely great, especially the ones staged almost like performances. And the constant classical music made everything feel stiff and intense in a way that kept me on edge the entire time. I really liked that!!
💔Also…what’s their problem with bisexuality???
