In this, the year of our Spawn 2021, I'm again late joining Hooptober again. I think I can catch up. My potential movies are here because I can't be trusted to stick to a list. I've previously participated in 2019 and 2020. I will start- of course- with the 1997 classic, Spawn.
From there, I'm going to watch a movie set in my home town of Chicago (Candyman), and movies made as far away as Laos (Dearest Sister) and Indonesia (Queen of Black Magic, 1981 version). I'll watch Mr. Boogedy and Ms. 45, a match made in Hollywood hell. My oldest will be the 1926 silent Japanese film A Page of Madness, and my newest will be Prisoners of the Ghostland, released last week. Will this unending variety be enough to mash my brain's dopamine buttons? Maybe!
