Glad to be back again this year. I had some delays for my HoopTober 7.0 list that left me unable to complete it by time October finished. I had 31 movies done but the list wasn’t completed by end of Halloween night 2020 and that was a bummer.
I may have gotten a little too ambitious? Maybe 50+ was a stretch. Giving myself a little more breathing room this time.
Using the same rule set as the general list. Meeting all the same stipulations just threw some random stuff in there as I came across entrants snd some related movies to them. Should be a fun one this year folks! I included Halloween Kills and Last Night in Soho in…

Should be a fun one this year folks! I included Halloween Kills and Last Night in Soho in here too as I will be watching those both in October too. Gotta include them in the festivities yeah?
See you on the other side, ya’ll. 🎃
QUICK EASY RULES:
•6 countries (Italy,Belgium,Canada,France,Japan and Mexico and a few more likely)
•8 decades (1920s,1940s,1950s,1960s,1970s,1980s,1990s,2010s and 2020s)
•2 folk horror
•4 films from 1981
•2 films from your birth year - 1984
•2 haunted house films
•The worst Part 2 that you haven't seen and can access. (I realize that this will take a little work)
•1 film set in the woods
•1 Kaiju or Kong film (not the new K v. G)
•2 Hammer films
•3 films with a person of color as director or lead. (excluding Asian)
•3 Asian horror films.
•And 1 Tobe Hooper Films (There must ALWAYS be a Hooper film)
Plus I added some things I’ve acquired in 4K I’ve been dying to revisit that I’ve been saving for this time of year. What better time to revisit them than HoopTober!
***FOR THOSE THAT LIKE TO DO EXTRA WORK: WATCH JD's Revenge (watched last HoopTober), The Skull and The Scooby Doo Project
SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME
I’m including another BONUS round here because, well, why the hell not.
The list includes the Cronenberg classic Scanners for a 1981 flick and I have yet to watch any of its direct sequels nor the related Scanner Cop films. That Vinegar Syndrome set sure is nice eh? Might as well give it a go..so let’s hit the whole damn franchise:
•Scanners
•Scanners II: The New Order
•Scanners III: Takedown
•Scanner Cop
•Scanner Cop II: The Showdown
-Watched and reviewed, of course, as part of the festivities this year. A franchise I know little about and, frankly, have wanted to visit again.
Nice try, novice, but, don’t mess with the maestro!
