I've been looking forward to the new Hooptober for a couple of months now, especially after the fun I had with it last year... although I bit off a bit more than I initially bargained for with just over 100 movies in my 2020 list!

I've started this list with the simple 31 (plus the 3 bonus movies), and I've managed to hit all of the rules below.
All additional films I end up adding beyond these are just for the fun of my usual October marathon viewing. Now I just need to organise my new spreadsheet for tracking them.

8 decades (1920s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, 2020s)
2 folk horror (The Blood on Satan's Claw, The Lair of the White Worm)
4 films from 1981 (Evilspeak, Graduation Day, Cannibal Ferox, Hell Night, Wolfen)
2 films from your birth year (1985 - Pulgasari, Creature, The New Kids, Silver Bullet)
2 haunted house films (13 Ghosts, The Others, The Haunted Mansion)
The worst Part 2 that you haven't seen and can access. (Pulse 2... and 3 for my sins)
1 film set in the woods (The Hunt)
1 Kaiju or Kong film (not the new K v. G) (Pulgasari)
2 Hammer films (X the Unknown, Rasputin: The Mad Monk)
3 films with a person of colour as director or lead. (excluding Asian) (The House on Skull Mountain, Little Monsters, Def by Temptation)
3 Asian horror films (Pulgasari, Pulse [2001], One Cut of the Dead)
And 1 Tobe Hooper Films (The Mangler)
[All of the rules were hit within 29 films due to crossovers, so I've added Don't Be Afraid of the Dark and Dr. Giggles to round up to the minimal 31]

BONUS ROUND: Last year I watched a total of 102! Not sure I'll do as many this year, but for now I've added an extra... ̶3̶0̶.̶.̶.̶ ̶ ̶5̶8̶.̶.̶.̶ ̶6̶3̶.̶.̶.̶ 66 movies... ahhh shit I'm back up to 102 again.
