My entry for "Hooptober Ocho".
This is the first time I am participating in a "Hooptober" Challenge. Thanks to Cinemonster for starting this challenge. Even though I am not that big a fan of the horror genre, after reading Letterboxd's article on Cinemonster, I decided to take part in the challenge this year. When making my list, it was fun putting together a list of films in my watchlist as well as seeing how many films I could find that fit multiple criteria. I will add which criteria each film fills in the note section.

Just like Cinemonster is doing, I will watch 31 horror films (as well as the 3 extra films). I will also only be adding films that I have not logged on Letterboxd. While I might have seen some of the films on my list before, it would have been well before I began using Letterboxd.
However, one thing that I am changing is that I will begin watching the films now since I am not sure when or even if I will be able to finish this challenge.
The criteria for this year's Hooptober is as follows:
6 countries
8 decades
2 folk horror
4 films from 1981
2 films from your birth year (1993)
2 haunted house films
The worst Part 2 that you haven't seen and can access. (I realize that this will take a little work)
1 film set in the woods
1 Kaiju or Kong film (not the new K v. G)
2 Hammer films
3 films with a person of color as director or lead. (excluding Asian)
3 Asian horror films.
And 1 Tobe Hooper Films (There must ALWAYS be a Hooper film)
***FOR THOSE THAT LIKE TO DO EXTRA WORK: WATCH J.D.'s Revenge, The Skull and The Scooby-Doo Project
Films chosen are in alphabetical order.
***I am giving myself the freedom to change films on this list if I stumble upon something I am more interested in. Of course, I will make sure that I stick to the criteria for this challenge if I do so.***
