Started by Letterboxd user Cinemonster's in 2014, "Hooptober" (named for renowned horror director Tobe Hooper) is an annual viewing-challenge that encourages people to watch 31 horror movies from September 15th through Halloween that fit certain criteria... and here's the movies I picked out for 2021, my 5th time participating!
And since my family is moving into a big old house this month, it felt fitting to really lean into the "haunted house" theme this year - with seven films from that sub-genre.
