It's annoying to look back at Hooptober Se7en and acknowledge that we are as much in a pandemic now as we were at that time. At least we have vaccines this time, but on the whole society is not really looking any better than the horror show it made itself out to be last year, which once again renders a challenge like Hooptober utterly redundant. Still, the horrors you see on the big screen are a lot more fun than the ones you read about in the papers, so here we go again. Cinemonster's master list is here for those who are curious.
Just like last year, I had a new season of Higurashi When They Cry…

Just like last year, I had a new season of Higurashi When They Cry to watch alongside these movies (the last few episodes of SOTSU aired during the challenge period), so that's another little corollary to enjoy. This was very nearly my first Hooptober list on which the USA was outnumbered by another country (Japan), but I decided that Wolf Guy didn't really fit the bill, so I had to swap it out and thus Japan and the USA are tied. This is still my most international Hooptober so far, though, with a total of 16 countries represented.
I finished this Hooptober at 11:44 pm on October 29th.
