“Take it easy pal, not all of us have enough money for a Mazda, some of us have to work for a living.”
I enjoyed this one, just enough humor and campiness to balance out the slightly unsafe/seedy feeling of a lot of 70s/early 80s horror. Interesting story, characters, and transformations. And a great downbeat ending.
But poor Dee Wallace, just surrounded by absolutely awful men. From her boss (“Who knows, maybe she’s pregnant”), to her husband (ah yes misogyny by gaslight followed by a smack down), to her psychiatrist. My girl just can’t catch a break.
