The Letterboxd Season Challenge! Is there anything more thrilling than the return of the 33-week Challenge? (The answer to that is “no.”) Each week is a gift, thoughtfully chosen and lovingly wrapped by host Benjamin Milot, and I am grateful to him for his continued role as caretaker for the four years I’ve participated.
As is always the case, I wildly overthink my choices and spend literal hours and considerable hand-wringing before I settle on 33 films. Plus, there’s the staggeringly massive spreadsheet I keep that documents the journeys of each of the Challenge’s hundreds of participants. Seriously, this is the biggest event of my year—I cannot get enough. Let the challenge begin!
