🏜️Ahh The Mummy, one of my favourite childhood classics. It’s always so nice coming back to it!!
🐪God, I adore this movie. I’ve loved it since I was a kid and it still holds up incredibly well.
⚰️The acting, the action, the humour — everything just works. It’s such a fun and exciting adventure from start to finish. Rachel Weisz looks unbelievably majestic in every single scene omg. And those mummy faces in the sand are absolutely next level. Also, I love the appreciation for cats lol
🪲But the scarabs…oh hell no. Those things terrified me as a kid and honestly? Still do. Watching them again today gave me literal goosebumps. The way they crawl under the skin is just..nope. Straight up childhood trauma.
⚱️And Beni, I swear him praying to every religion just to survive is one of the most iconic scenes ever. It stuck with me ever since my last rewatch and still makes me laugh.
📜I’m quite excited for Lee Cronin's The Mummy release pretty soon, and The Mummy 4 in few years…we gotta wait for that one.
