watching cats run around for a good hour is the best way I can imagine spending my time tbh
Some of them are so fluffy, I nearly exclaimed in the theatre how pretty they were. Some of them had noses that just demanded that I boop them, and maybe I silently did so in the theatre stop judging me. Some of them had such glorious cat bellies that I might have exploded from joy and the unique happy frustration of only witnessing and not being able to actually rub said cat bellies. Little bitty roly poly kittens! KITTIES!
Two hours of cats. Kitties. In the streets of Istanbul. I have no idea how Ceyda Torun filmed this at cat-level, but it looks so amazing. You follow them through narrow spaces, beneath the feet of people, through trees and over…
"A cat looking up at you, meowing at you, is life smiling at you."
Man, cats are just the fucking best.
not to be fake deep but this is one of the most life-affirming and naturally spiritual movies I have ever seen and watching it makes me feel more connected
I talk about this movie maybe once a month, and I still forget my favorite parts. Love that little cat pawing at the window of the restaurant.
every cat in the world is perfect and beautiful and i’m glad to finally have a movie that confirms this hypothesis
