Elvira, the retired smoothie shop operator, does a bit of taxidermy on the side. She has a chat with her friendly neighbour Milena. She has a chat with her blender. She has a chat with the strange detective who's investigating her husband's disappearance. Elvira laughs. The detective laughs. The blender laughs.
Reflections of a Blender is an offbeat comedy from director André Klotzel about the daily life of a Brazilian housewife who talks to her blender. As the title suggests, the blender is also our narrator, adding commentary in a soft, smoky voice about what it means to be. I especially liked Aramis Trindade's performance as the somewhat unnerving detective Fuinha.
"Sing, glorious blender!"
