A few of these are stretches, but in my opinion, an argument could be made with regard to the application of the term neo-noir to all of these titles. They do not all contain every single characteristic of the noir genre, e.g. a femme fatale, but if you think about it, you should be able to come to a conclusion about why these particular films were selected, if only in terms of their atmosphere/aesthetic.
