As the autumn of 2021 approaches, we gather again at another Hooptober seance to summon terror and depravity, tricks and treats, maybe an old Vincent Price title we never noticed before. An immensely fun time of year for me, the 7th time I've done it (I didn't join Letterboxd till 2015, a year after Cinemonster introduced the project), an interactive Halloween season that I'm eager to share with what looks to be more participants than ever before. Your lists and reviews will nourish me day and night for the next couple months, so I thank everyone in advance for this jubilee. See you out there somewhere in the foggy moors...

100% unseen films for me. And sorry, I know this runs a bit longer than usual, but I finished way ahead of time last year, and got excited by all this year's criteria, and had tons of other titles I wanted to include regardless already. I needed space for all the usual suspects: creature features, anthologies, Bava, comedy, found footage, Henenlotter, etc. Next year I'll take it back down to 31 or so total.
