Ema’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Pyramid is basically bad The Mummy (bc it’s the best Egypt myth horror) in my opinion, but it has way too many flaws.
It surprisingly started pretty strong, I liked camera POV bits - they actually worked at first and gave it that claustrophobic “something is watching us” tension. Unfortunately, that hasn’t last long and pretty soon it had a huge downfall. It did afford me one or two pretty good jumpscares and I liked the atmosphere, but the acting was not giving at all. I don’t even want to mention the monster(s) bc I hated them all so freaking much.
It’s an easy cliché in every meaning of that word — I’m mostly talking about ending. It’s so predictable and I knew what would happen the whole time, it wasn’t scary and it just made me roll eyes at the end…
