This is a list of every Asian who has been nominated for an Oscar. For this list, I am including any nominee that has Asian descent, whether they themselves were from an Asian country or not. This includes Asian-Americans, or partially Asian nominees.

The last ceremony to not have a single Asian nominee was the 77th Academy Awards, held in 2005.
Special Note: The award for Best International Feature is technically given to the submitting country and not to any individual. However, it is the director who accepts the award on behalf of the country and so, for the purposes of recognizing Asian contributions to the Oscars, films directed by Asians that were nominated for this category will be included.
