The first half is really cringe, full of nonstop second-hand embarrassment, and the second half gets a bit more interesting, but it’s very predictable. The acting is mostly really weak Amanda Seyfried is the only one who actually saves the film.
Overall verdict: very meh. Watchable if you’re just killing time, but nothing more.

I really liked this movie, it captures that bittersweet craving for something genuine in a world obsessed with curated standards and what we think we deserve. I’m not entirely convinced by the ending ; it felt like she chose comfort over spark. But maybe that’s the point, sometimes love isn’t loud or dazzling, it’s quietly choosing…
