Special Notes:
- Out of the 132 films on this list, the only one not nominated for Best Picture was Dreamgirls
- 59 of these movies ended up winning Best Picture, a total of less than half at 45%
- 68 of these movies were also the most awarded of their year, a total of a little over half, at 51.9%
- 8 of these movies ended up winning none of their nominations: The Love Parade, Arrowsmith, Lady for a Day, The Turning Point, The Elephant Man, The Color Purple, and American Hustle
