Hooptober 12: 28/31
Every time I watch The Wizard of Oz I think about the impact it has on US culture and the many references in all kinds of media I am exposed to. As a European, you have basically seen this even if you haven’t seen the film itself. This time I imagined David Lynch having a giggle at some of the scenes, which was fun, but he was probably also drawn to the darker sides of its production, which are in stark contrast to its light presentation.
