Slappy McGee’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is my kind of 50's old school horror flick!
You've got Boris Karloff playing a mild-mannered academic investigating a dead serial killer who seems to have returned.
But then it gets a lot more twisty and turny and the plot complicates quite a bit, turning back on itself. It's actually extremely well-written. And for a 50's horror story, that's quite unusual.
It definitely doesn't go where you think it's going to. I mean, at first it does, but then when it takes a second turn, and then a third one, you have no idea of the fun ride that you are in for.
Plus Karloff's performance carries some cool physical twists that are fun as hell too.
I just really didn't expect this movie to "WOW" me like it did.
HIGHLY ENJOYABLE!!!
