PROGRESS: 12/52
I love challenges and movie posters both, so I decided to make a yearly challenge based on movie posters. (If there’s already one out there, sorry, but I couldn’t find it). If you’ve never done a challenge before the rules are as follows: find a movie that matches each prompt, watch a film from the list each week (52 films for 52 weeks in the year), revel in the fact that you finished a challenge (if of course you get that far). Rewatches are acceptable and you don’t have to watch the films in order if you don’t want. Okay let’s go!

1. Let’s start out by making this list aesthetic, it is based on poster art after all. We’re going through the rainbow so start off with a poster that is predominantly RED.
2. Now a poster that is predominantly ORANGE.
3. Now YELLOW.
4. The art teacher in me is cringing if you don’t know what’s coming next. That’s right it’s GREEN!
5. Next we got BLUE.
6. Finally we have PURPLE.
7. Oh you thought we were done with colors? Nope we’re doing PINK next.
8. Now on to everyone’s least favorite color. That’s right it’s poor BROWN.
9. Were almost through! Now we’re doing BLACK.
10. And lastly we have WHITE!
11. Okay now let’s move on to a movie poster that has been PAINTED.
12. Next we’re going to get a bit of a tricky one, and find a movie poster that uses the PRINTMAKING process. (If you need help with that one I can give a few suggestions)
13. Something a bit easier now is a poster that is mostly a PHOTOGRAPH.
14. And now into the modern age, find a poster that’s made with DIGITAL ART.
15. I really like the whole rainbow thing clearly, so we’re going again with it by doing a movie poster that has its TITLE IN RED.
16. And next we’ll do one that has its TITLE IN ORANGE
17. Next we’ve got a TITLE IN YELLOW.
18. Can you guess what’s next? Yep, a TITLE IN GREEN.
19. Now a TITLE IN BLUE
20. Lastly a TITLE IN PURPLE
21. Since I’m studying to be an art teacher for the tiny humans let’s do some color schemes. First find a film who’s poster is MONOCHROMATIC which is the same color in different shades and tints.
22. Let’s now do a poster with COMPLEMENTARY colors (red and green, blue and orange, or yellow and purple).
23. And now we’ve got ANALOGOUS colors (colors that are next to each other on the color wheel)
24. Next let’s search for a poster with a person that is cut out of the frame.
25. Now find a poster that has an upside down image.
26. How about a character on the poster that’s wearing a hat.
27. Find an animal.
28. And a plant.
29. And now a movie poster that has a font style that you like.
30. A title that is anything BUT horizontal.
31. A movie with a circle in the poster.
32. Three or more people on the poster.
33. A person interacting with the text.
34. A staring sets of eyes or eye.
35. Some sort of vehicle.
36. A cityscape/buildings
37. A woman in distress.
38. A smile.
39. Some kind of weapon.
40. A skeleton.
41. A couple.
42. No people at all.
43. A hand or pair of hands that are prominently featured.
44. Some sort of boarder around the edges.
45. A heart.
46. Something that scares or grosses you out.
47. A movie that looks interesting solely based on the poster.
48. Some neon colors.
49. A poster that uses an object in place of text.
50. A monster or alien.
51. Food.
52. And finally a film from this list I made.
