Listen, I knew this would slap because I've watched the entirety of the Handmaid's Tale multiple times and Elisabeth Moss is always going to knock it out of the fucking park, and that's exactly what she does here.

I have unfortunately been a victim of a man who gaslit me into oblivion and convinced other people I was crazy/ convinced me I might be crazy. It's a helpless feeling that's extremely hard to describe unless you've been there. I will never forget telling my "friends" what was happening to me and seeing the disbelief on their faces, the judgement, and the disgust. This movie takes that feeling and ramps it up to 1000 and is extremely effective. It starts by dropping you straight into the terror and suspense of the situation and it doesn't really let up for the entire runtime.

I'm holding back from five stars because there were just a few things I thought were unecessary, like he didn't need to be Hulk strong. The terror was plenty effective without that.

Overall though, this was fucking fantastic and scary as hell.
