Sorry, I didn’t Get It.

I was hooked in the first half when it seemed to be building some kind of mystery, and then I got excited again when O’Connor and Blunt connected because I (again, foolishly) thought something might happen, but everything that happens is something you can guess from the trailers or is revealed within the first ten to fifteen minutes of the movie. The train scene is tense and fun but nothing else felt worth the elongated…

What a movie. I hope that the success of Obsession and Backrooms leads to more unique independent films being made. We need more big, creative swings! New, imagined worlds! Even if they don’t work for everyone, it’s so nice to see something new.

Repo! the Genetic Opera is both of its time and wholly its own. The colors are beautifully vibrant on a big screen, and the comic-style backstories are such an inspired, well executed idea.
