Patrick looks like he stepped out of Clockwork Orange. I suppose they cast him for that deadeyed stare.
Actually a real strong script and well put together film. It’s just missing a couple of much needed bursts of insanity to make it noteworthy and stand out amongst its peers. Without those, it played a bit too linear and a bit too long.
Penhaligan captivates though, which kept the car running. She talks like Keira Knightly. Like the words are heavy but she’s compelled to speak them and they sometimes tumble or flop out or get chewed a bit. And then I realised I’d inadvertently set it to .8 speed.
“160 pounds of limp meat hanging off a comatose brain. Can you imagine anything less aware than that.”
