Hooptober 12: 19/31
Every decade needs a good body snatcher flick and this one encapsulates the 90s. Forms of control such as family or military are replaced by a new order. It’s an idea that is linked to the psychology and the anxieties of globalism and it loses nothing in comparison to the other two famous adaptations. I find that this version doesn’t really stick the landing, almost as if they didn’t have any idea how to end it without a hopeful message, so they’d rather not have it end at all.
