I was a bit hesitant to watch this movie earlier because I was indifferent towards Philippou brothers' previous movie Talk to Me, and wasn't really keen on this one. But the overwhelming reviews from my friends talking about Sally Hawkins made me finally check this out and I was genuinely fucking terrified by her. An absolute knockout of a performance from one of best working actresses right now. Her eyes in many scenes sent shivers down my spine and she makes a pretty convoluted movie into a horrifying experience. I wasn't much of a fan of the ending but still found it compelling enough.
