Park Chan-wook's wonderfully disgusting take on catholicism, sex, romance, spirituality, moral failures of humans through the lens of vampire mythology is as kinetic and striking as you would expect from him. Not all of it works as fluidly as his other works that I've watched but it has most of everything that I love about him. The director cut is a bit overlong and I think the theatrical version probably has better pacing but I still enjoyed myself with the movie.
