Ghoul Gruel’s review published on Letterboxd:
For years I’ve thought this and Brain Damage were the same movie. I never saw them in the same room together. Imagine my surprise.
Starts drippy and we got a bunch of Krueger shenanigans in the first 5 minutes. A bleeding teddy bear, monster arms, tentacles, and a shrinking room. This ain’t our main character though (RIP) and it’s a problem because our actual lead was boring and there was too much focus on him. Not even much in the way of supporting characters.
I recon the film showed its cards too soon. Blew its horror load early. Nothing beyond the intro kept me interested. The story was bunglesome and wearying. Even the Thomas The Tank Engine Prolapse ‘Brain’ lost its sauce relatively quickly.
