Slappy McGee’s review published on Letterboxd:
In the little known sub-sub-sub-genre called "Convict Zombies" is where you'll find this one neatly tucked away.
For a cheapie zombie flick that is kinda called "Regional Horror" as well, it's not too bad.
It was also distributed by Troma Studios so it meets their low-to-non-existent bar for a film. So, it's also got that going for it... which is nice.
So the rejected extras from "COOL HAND LUKE" get hold of some formaldehyde smoke via these tubes in the garden and plan a prison break.
It doesn't go well.
But who knew that the "prison weed" would bring them back from the dead? I mean, aside from everyone watching.
It's silly fun. (It's played straight and not for laughs, btw.)
There are worse ways to spend an hour or so.
