Slappy McGee’s review published on Letterboxd:
Much more comical in most ways.
Even "lil' Kong" is full of silliness.
And I kinda dug it.
"KING KONG" sequel that was released the same year as the original - now THAT is some kind of turnaround!
It features some of the same cast and a return to the island where they find that little 12 foot scamp about to get sucked under by quicksand. After they save monkey-boy, it goes around kicking the ass of every prehistoric creature on the island.
Oh, that rascal.
A completely different tone that the original, this sequel is a lot of fun.
