Every new David Cronenberg makes me feel like there really is no other horror director (apart from Carpenter) who explores so much of human condition and the suffering our existence filled with such nuance and portrayed so succintly. Even something like the nuclear threat of cold war becomes something deeply personal and profound in his hands. Staggering.
