Our guy has an insane amount of swagger for hair like that and a face doing all those things. Ugly without being grotesque but so intensely magnetic and brooding that people would probably throw themselves at him. He’s like an artist, a gangster, a junkie, a frontman, a bond villain, and a fucking ghoul of a man. He’s giving Uncle Fester meets Anton Chigurh meets an Insect. But the Cool is directly linked to confidence and he’s destined to live in extremes. When he’s on he’s on but when he’s off it’s giving icks. The power of a suit and attitude, man.

Anyway, this is a steady, stunning, and meticulous piece of art. Pretty light on plot and energy but high on vibes, although it steadily became more ambiguous as it went which harmed the entertainment value for me. By the time it finished it felt completely adrift.
