Peak German expressionism that blends remarkably well with the dark guilt ridden tale of Edgar Allen Poe. Dark shadows and skewed up world refekvting perfectly the insanity of our protagonist. Looks astonishing and the storytelling is unparalleled. Absolutely loved it. Makes we want to get back on watching more silent era films.
