Jessi’s review published on Letterboxd:
The found footage conceit works really well for this story, but I almost wish they had ended it with the "original" film rather than adding on the additional tape (mainly because I thought it was obvious the kid was evil/part of the ritual and the tape suddenly showing up in the mail required too much suspension of disbelief right at the end of the movie). I'm also not entirely sure how some of the secondary characters fit in the story or why some (Mariko's upstairs neighbor) ended up dead while others (the guys who took Mariko to the shrine) didn't. But overall this was spooky and entertaining.
