Completely tasteless
Very reminiscent of Close Encounters in its pacing, tone, and philosophical outlook. If that’s a Spielberg movie you have a strong affinity for you’ll like this.
Close Encounters is a movie I’ve only revisited once in my adulthood and feel no urge to rewatch, so Disclosure Day failed to connect strongly with me. It’s well made, the acting is good. Nonetheless, I often found myself bored despite the fairly dense plot and frequent action sequences. Your mileage will certainly vary
This is the movie for you if you’ve ever wanted to watch a Disney Channel Original Movie with a budget of $145 million (plenty of these people exist). This movie is almost 3 hours long and only covers the first half of the musical, yet manages to add no depth to the characters or the plot

I suppose the documentary hammers home the point that Katya was isolated and lonely because despite interviewing nearly everyone she interacted with in Australia, not a single person seems able to offer any insight into her inner life. I get the feeling they mean well; but the interview subjects spend a lot of time deflecting blame from themselves
