“YOU ONLY MOVED THE HEADSTONES!”

For nightmare-inducing TV’s, my generation had The Ring, the generation before me had Poltergeist. There were more creepy scenes than I expected from a PG rating and I loved the twisty staircase, it was a fantastic focal point for the film.

Both parents were great, and I enjoyed getting to know their characters. Parents are typically absent in horror films or lack nuance beyond being the source of inherited trauma, so this was a pleasant swing in the opposite direction.
