Burt Gummer: "That's right. Fly right into my crosshairs, you fire-farting son of a bitch."
LONG LIVE BURT!
Tremors 5: Bloodlines is the first installment not to have any involvement on behalf of S.S. Wilson, Brent Maddock, or Nancy Roberts, all of whom were once writers, producers, and, except for Roberts, directors of the preceding films in the franchise. This lack of involvement had me initially nervous, but it's refreshing to see a series picked up, dusted off, and respected by a new breed of talent, including Don Michael Paul (The Road to El Dorado) in the director's chair, in addition to a trio of new writers.
This is what has kept the Tremors franchise alive and well for…
After more than a decade the Tremors are back with a fresh new look and some serious bite!
"Ass Blasters carry eggs that hatch and become new Graboids, beginning this hellish cycle anew."
I never would have expected that when they brought the Tremors movies back from the dead with part 5 Bloodlines, they would be packing this much of an action-packed and stylistic punch. This sequel easily ranks as my second favorite in the series after the original classic.

- It took a while but I officially love seeing Burt in these movies, and it makes a huge difference having a solid…
i appreciate the darker tone in this one, especially compared to tremors 4, and i actually like the redesign of the graboids, but i'm still not sure how i feel about this as a whole
It lost the charm that the earlier 4 films had, like maybe it was due to better cinematography or idk, the campiness which I find it entertaining was absolutely gone. The redesigns looked great tho, practical effects were okay. How much evolved they've became lol, From Graboids to now Queen Bitch and they've became scarier as well.
Tremors is back after a break of more than ten years. The campiness of the first four films is out of the window in favour of a bolder sense of humour. It's fine, but this fifth installment loses a lot of the charm of the originals. The plot is basically the same, except this time the action takes place in South Africa. Original series hero Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) is back and gets support from Jamie Kennedy. Gross fits the role so well, and has fun with it. There's not a great deal of chemistry between the two leads, however. The special effects are quite remarkably better than they were in the DTV installments. The monsters have been given an…
This “movie’s” overt piss kink and prevalent racism were made only slightly more palatable by our playing it in 1.25 speed and putting a video of Subway Surfers gameplay in the corner

🔪😱🤢😲👻💀☠️👽🤖👀👀🗡️
After 11 years, the Tremors franchise <ahem> resurfaces with what I'd inexplicably call the second best film in the series. Maybe I took one too many hits from the snake, but, yeah... I thought this 4th sequel pulled the stick back from the franchise's rapid decent.
This one saddles Burt Gummer (Michael Gross, still kickin' it) with an unwanted sidekick as they take their worm hunt to South Africa. It seems they have a bad case of the assblasters.
Jamie Kennedy plays Gummer's new partner and he's the first sidekick in these sequels that's had much of a personality. I actually liked him…
They could have at least pulled an Ace Ventura and had Burt crawl out of an animatronic graboid’s ass or something
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I was out when that dude got peed on by a lion.
Or 'Tremors 5: Let's Shoot This One In South Africa To Save Some Budget'.
It took them over a decade to bring this series back and I guess in this era of monster disaster films being farted out twenty to the dozen by SyFy and various cacky fingered production companies out there, you couldn't really blame them for bringing this one back.
It ships off out to South Africa, ropes in Jamie Kennedy (because, presumably, David Arquette was busy) and generally looks set to be a pretty depressingly bad affair that couldn't possibly be anything approaching alright. Yet, when the thing was over, a funny thing had happened. I ended up reckoning this was the second best in…
I’m a little surprised that I enjoyed this more than I expected or probably even should have.
I thought the change in design with the graboids and ass-blasters were incredible and much more terrifying. There was some added aggression and violence to the creatures that stood out more to me. The poor shriekers weren’t included again, have been pretty much MIA since Tremors 2.
Jamie Kennedy joins the cast in Tremors 5. His character could have gone in many different directions, but he ended up being quite likable and didn’t hate his chemistry with Michael Gross’ character.
The story was basically what you expected from a fifth Tremors movie. Some form of the graboid shows up and Burt Gummer is…
