Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland

I don't know how Felissa Rose turned into Pamela Springsteen (yes, she's Bruce Springsteen's little sister).

But here we are.

Springsteen (playing Killer Angela) is back for the 3rd installment (her 2nd) of the cult classic that was bastardized by these shitty-ass sequels.

The movie is trying to play for laughs - but kinda not(?) - and so the tone is just really, really off most of the time. I do think this 3rd part is better at this than part 2 was... or maybe I'm just used to it by now. Not sure.

Regardless, this movie tries to throw some social commentary about "class warfare" into the mix, but ultimately the characters are so terrible that we just don't give a shit. Most of the characters (not all) kinda get what's coming to them for the most part, but still Angela is just skipping around killing fools without any worry of the consequences. She does so quite creatively but in ways that defy any sort of reality. So it's all just slasher farce and kinda dumb. Fun at times, but dumb.

And I don't know who hired simpleton man-boy Michael J. Pollard to mug his way through the short time he has onscreen and baby-talk his way through his lines... but when they let him make out with a mostly naked young girl like he's some kind of stud... that's the point I realized that I wished Killer Angela would have taken out that person who hired him with a dull pair of kid's scissors.
