I had low expectations and it pissed them away. I think it’s clear that they don’t know how to market this film.

Essentially just a ‘99 DTV teen slasher with kids in a booby trapped house, but it’s got that beautiful grainy aesthetic from being shot on 35, which does a lot for the feel, and the effects are all practical and gory without trying to rely on it.

It’s clearly satiric. The characters are almost caricatures, cliched and under developed, and the music feels intentionally dramatised, but together it rides the balance so it never feels like a comedy.

It’s pretty simple. Not sure if it’s one to run back to often. It left me with a lot of questions about the plot and how it theoretically played out, but it ain’t serious so I figured why worry.

At one point a head has small squares of mirror sparsely attached and is hung like a disco ball. I liked that.
