As big of a fan of giallo as I am, this one didn't hit for me. The story dragged a lot. The characters aren't very likeable. & I think it soured a little for me from the beginning with the dance in blackface. It's also not really a horror either. More of psychological thriller with not a lot of kills or my beloved giallo blood. All that aside If 30 minutes of filler were cut it would improve it immensely. There's a really great story hidden in here that feels like it was padded for time. It is shot beautifully with a great cottage by the sea backdrop. & I'm convinced that the ending shot is Bergson & the Inspector confessing their love for each other.
