Hooptober 12 12/31

Yo so can we like stop letting Zeb Wells work on stuff. After giving us one of the most shit runs of Amazing Spider-Man in recent memory we now get this. Seems he's trying to redeem himself after fridging Kamala Khan in his Spidey run by making her the central character of this. Kamala was at least interesting but a lot of what makes Iman Vellani adorable as Kamala in Ms Marvel and The Marvels is lost here. The ending to this miniseries also is like real dumb that is not satisfying in anyway and while they use to tease maybe it will continue in the future I honestly don't care. Not a big fan of this art style in the slightest. Either go full CG or make it flat this in between just isn't working for me.

The show does the worst thing it can do by teasing me with plotlines that are done offscreen that are far more interesting that what we get. Shang-Chi and Jimmy Woo leading a weird team Mad Max style against a drifting rival gang of Skrulls in the desert wastelands is awesome and I would gladly watched more of that then the generic Zombie stuff we got. Doesn't help that with the exception of the Marvel vs Army of Darkness miniseries most of the Marvel Zombies books were kind of garbage.

Seems Marvel still believes they're going to release a Blade movie with Mahershala Ali in it, as our animated blade definitely bares his resemblance. Blade Knight is the standout of this series. Combining the cool and stoic blade with the powers of Khonshu was a top notch choice.
