Dylan’s review published on Letterboxd:
I don't think I was fully prepared for just how silly some of Phantom of the Opera would be, there's a few slapstick elements that feel out of place, but it doesn't detract too much from the film for the most part.
The stand out is obviously Lon Chaney, even now, almost 100 years later, the make up still looks terrifying and his performance is fantastic! The more he was on screen, the more I was enjoying the movie.
It's a timeless classic with a few elements that don't really hold up, but it's pretty good.
