MrPPeeps’s review published on Letterboxd:
I love a good psychological mystery/thriller and found myself quite into the first half of "Stay". A more than decent, twisty concept about a psychologist with a new patient who claims to be suicidal, but finds himself struggling with his own mental state instead. It has a pretty great atmosphere, solid acting and I was pretty hooked, and that's the thing I feel like you want the most for a film like this. There was a point though, where it honestly just lost me completely. It started to feel so jumbled and convoluted, and honestly quite repetitive due to it - in my opinion at least - trying to desperately keep you strung along, justifying it's runtime, until the big final "reveal" that supposedly wraps it all up. But to be honest, the ending made very little sense to me and more importantly, I simply don't care enough to find out. Which is a death sentence for something like this in my opinion.
Clearly works for a lot of people though, so maybe the "good" just sailed over my head (unfortunately very possible) so maybe give it a go and then you can let me know what it all meant.
