Wow wow wow wow WOW.
Ok, just to get it out of the way - the movie is LONG so yeah, things start to drag a bit once hour two hits. But there is nothing else to say about Farewell My Concubine...unless, of course, you're talking about the extraordinary filmmaking and costume design, the outstanding and highly emotional performances (specifically from Chinese legend Leslie Cheung, good LORD), the politically charged history lessons permeating the story's background (I know nothing of Chinese history, so lots of pausing to Google stuff happened today lol), the fantastic musical numbers.....ok I take it back, there's PLENTY to say about Farewell My Concubine AND IT'S ALL GREAT 😍😍😍
