I love Clive Barker, I love the worlds he creates, his books are so much fun, but up until now, I've only watched Hellraiser and Nightbreed, I always put off watching Lord of Illusions as I'd heard mixed things.

Happy to report that I actually really enjoyed this, it's a little messier and not as good as the two previously mentioned films, but it still has a certain charm of its own. Lord of Illusions feels a lot like the 2 part pilot to a cult TV show that was cancelled after only one season, which I mean that as a compliment!

The concept of an occult, neo noir detective horror thriller is right up my street. I'd love more films or a TV show centered on a character like Harry D'Amour.
