Zombie movies 2/5
Full list here.
White British man travels to foreign country, appropriates the culture, brings it back to the UK to leverage it for a nefarious purpose...capitalism. A tale as old as time.
Hard to believe The Plague of the Zombies is older than Night of the Living Dead. One of the movies greatest strengths is its aesthetic and and atmosphere. Which is true of most Hammer Horror films.
While the movie is a slow burn, the overall mystery at the centre of the movie and the previously mention atmosphere really carry it. The final 30 minutes is where the movie really shines, I wish we had gotten there a little sooner.
